Services were held in Amarillo, Texas on Jan. 30, 1969, for Howard E. Savage, 67, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of the DeSoto community.
Mr. Savage was born on March 26, 1901 and was graduated from DeSoto High school. He moved to Amarillo as a young man and later established a garage and auto repair business in San Diego from which he retired last summer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Savage, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary K. Holly and Mrs. Esther C. Masters, both of Amarillo; two step-sons, Rev. B.E. Gebhart and V.L. Gebhart, both in California; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Miss Emma Jewett, Olathe, and Mrs. Ida Austill, Eugene, Oregon.
