William Harrison “Buddy” McCall, 92, of Allen Junction, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.
Born August 27, 1926, he was the son of the late Randolph and Eva McCall.
Buddy was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Buddy was a coalminer, uranium, and iron ore miner.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Frieda; one brother, Robert “Bobby” McCall; and twin daughters, Brenda Kay and Linda Fay.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, William Ronnie McCall and his wife, Sharon, Donna Lynn Reed and her husband, Tom, and Teddy “Bo” Shelton McCall; grandchildren, Tammy Griffey and her husband, Huburt, Cheryl Hendricks and her husband, Gary, William “Will” McCall and his wife, Heather, Michelle Jones and her husband, Phillip, and Scott Reed and his wife, Melissa; great grandchildren, Justin, MaKayla and Myranda Griffey, Brandon, Layla, Emily, and Lizzie Hendricks, Austin, Hailey, and Wyatt McCall, Jordan, Taylan, Preslie and Ashton Jones, Ava Reed, and Taylor and Emily Bennett; great great grandchildren; Brady Hendricks and Bentley and Isla Blevins.
Services will be 12 Noon, Tuesday, June 24, 2019 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, Mullens with Rev. Curtis England officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
