He was a son of the late Junior E. and Goldie Marie (Auvil) Wilson. He grew up working on a sawmill, worked at Island Creek Coal/Consol for 36 years and was a dozer operator for 10 years. He was a member of the Loch Lynn Church of God. He was known for making whistles, knives, guns and sang in a gospel group, “Mt. Top Gospelaires.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Wilson, and a brother in law, Bill Mouser. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet (Poling) Wilson; two children, Glenn L. Wilson and wife Tammy and Glenda L. Stahl, both of Gormania; two grandchildren, Christopher L. Stahl and wife Katie, and Ashley Paugh and husband Dylan; three sisters, Helen Mouser, Kathy Hoffman and husband David, and Dorcas Moore and husband Larry; and a sister in law, Joyce Wilson.
