Peggy Jane (Yutzy) Grimes, 89, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at the Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born July 10, 1929, she was the daughter of late Henry and Edith Margaret (Minerd) Yutzy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Clair Grimes; brother, Henry Yutzy; sister, Betty Wheeler; and grandson, Freddie McDaniel.
Ms. Grimes was a homemaker and a former employee of Royal Dairy as well as Rosenbaum's Department Store. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Peggy Jo Beeseck and husband, Jim, Milderdale, W.Va., and Bonnie Kay Ackerman and husband, Floyd, Short Gap, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jason Seaton, Tammy Whiteman, Chris Beeseck, and Brian Beeseck; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lucy Yutzy.
Family and friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Doug Sandy officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
