Shelly Anne Ambrose, 49 of Baytown, Texas was called to her heavenly home on Monday, June 17, 2019. Shelly was born in Baytown, Texas on January 27, 1970.

She participated in many school, church and local activities as she grew up in Baytown, graduated in 1988 from Ross S. Sterling High School, and completed her Associate Degree of Applied Science from Lee College in 2013. Shelly worked as an Administrative Assistant at Goose Creek Memorial High School. Shelly’s first love was God and family. Her smiling face and joyous spirit inspired all those who knew Shelly. Shelly loved to read, study the Bible, attend and lead Bible study sessions with family and friends. Shelly was devoted to encouraging and helping others through the scriptures of God’s word, which she published each day on her special Facebook page entitled “God Driven Women Supporting Each Other”. She also enjoyed the fellowship of large family vacations, family nights watching movies and playing games, and especially shopping to design unique crafts or cook her favorite seasonal treat for family members or friends. Truly, one of God’s angels here on earth, she will be remembered for her bright, outgoing personality, genuine, kind spirit, and giving heart. Her memory and beautiful smile will live on in the hearts of those who remain behind. Her legacy will always be remembered not only as a great and loyal friend, but also as a loving daughter, sister, mother, and wife.

She was preceded in death by father Ronald R. Schrull; brother Ronald R. Schrull, Jr.; grandparents Claude & Jeanne Barthe, Evelyn & Joseph Smith, and Dorothy Coursey; and uncle Claude C. Barthe, Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are: husband Garick Ambrose of Baytown; daughter Rachel Lathan and husband Leonard of Anahuac; son Cameron Ambrose of Baytown; mother Claudia Schrull of Rosenberg; brothers Derek Schrull and wife Stephanie of Baytown and Greg Schrull and wife Brandie of Baytown; nieces Brienne, Brooke and Meagan Schrull of Baytown; nephews Matthew Schrull and Jake Tillman of Baytown; aunts Crystal Ming of Baytown and Donna Shannon of Baytown; and numerous other family members and special friends.

Pallbearers are Derek Schrull, Leonard Lathan, Officer Kent Dowdy, Bill Kimble, Russell Ming, and Branden Ormsby.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 24, 2019, 5 pm to 7 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 10 am at Second Baytown Church, 6227 N. Main St., Baytown, Texas 77521 with graveside services to follow.
