Born in Schenectady, Chris was the daughter of the late Salvatore DePoalo and late Ruth (Friello) DePoalo.
A graduate of Maria College with a degree in Early Childhood education, Chris worked for many years as a teacher assistant at Mohonasen High School and later as front office manager at Sampson’s Prosthetic Laboratory.
To Chris, family was everything and came above all else. She loved to be in the kitchen, with her pot of coffee, cooking for her family. Sunday dinners were her specialty.
Chris leaves behind her devoted husband of 42 years, Thomas J. Pierce, her loving children, Joe Pierce (Michelle), Kelly Petrucci (Jason), Nicole O’Rourke (Jeff) and Tommy Pierce and her 9 beloved grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Carmen DePoalo (Paula) and Phillip DePoalo (Carol) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady.
