Ruth graduated from Kusel High School in Germany.
Ruth met her husband Earl in Germany in early 1961, while he was on active duty in the U.S. Army. They were bonded in marriage on May 8, 1962 a marriage that turned out to be filled with much love for each other.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 daughters, Jackie Lynn Hood and Sandra Jean Diamond.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Hood; 1 son, Michael Hood of Flagstaff, AZ; daughter, Sue Roberson of Shawnee, OK; 1 brother, Otto Kohl of Kusel, Germany; 2 sisters, Renate Koch of Kusel, Germany and Marianne Feickert of Neustadt, Germany. Bis Spӓter Mein Schatz.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
