Ryan Blaine Walker (a.k.a. RB), the man, the myth, but more importantly a legend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of fifty on June 16, 2019 surrounded by his wife and two children.

He was born in Murray on February 2, 1969, the first child of Pamela M. Anderson and H. Blaine Walker.

Ryan was a self-taught unbelievable cook, jack of all trades, golf fanatic, sport enthusiast, but ultimately an incredibly humble and honest man. He loved the outdoors, hence the choosing of his profession as a general contractor. These activities gave him the opportunity to be with family. He enjoyed playing golf, watching or going to football games, tinkering on new home projects, and loved spending time with his wife, kids, family, and friends.

Ryan was the first grandchild for both sides of the family and therefore was able to have a relationship with his great-grandparents. He grew up in Orem, graduating from Orem High School. He could be found playing baseball or causing chaos with his best friends, Matt Pasin or Rob Dean. At a young age, Ryan had always been stubborn but humble, a caregiver, and loyal to all those around. He had a sense of humor that was radiant in a room and an amazing knack for coining nicknames for those he loved.

Ryan and Larisa met on a blind date that was fate. He adored his wife and loved his kids deeply. They were by far his proudest successes in life.

He was a very talented carpenter and took pride in all work that he did. He loved working with his hands and being able to work with his son on side projects when it came to home improvements for family and friends.

Ryan was a “rock” to many people and those that knew him appreciated his sense of calmness and underlying support. He was known for ALWAYS being there for others and never asking for anything in return.

Words will never be able to fully portray the great man Ryan was. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Although he left many hearts heavy, we all will carry a piece of him, and he will be kept close to many hearts and on many minds.

Ryan is welcomed to Heaven by his brother, Bradley Walker; grandfather, Reed Anderson; GT DuVal; John Swenson; Wes Anderson; great-grandparents; aunts; cousins; and many other relatives and friends. He leaves behind his wife of twenty-seven years, Larisa; daughter, Lauren (Kooper) Mitchell; son, McKay (Callie) Walker; grandparents, Howard and Verla Walker, Mary Anderson, and Helen Patterson; mother, Pamela (Greg) DuVal; father, Blaine (Hilea) Walker; father-in-law, Larry (Margaret) Loring; mother-in-law, Susan (Frank) Vaughn; sisters, Aimie (Russell) Johnson, Colbie Dean, and Ashlee (Russell) Collard; step-sisters, Dominique Anderson, Tanji (Robert) Northrup, LeAnn (Trey) Johnson, and Paige (Mike) Rener; sister-in-law, Shari (Uriah) Mark; brother-in-law, Sean (Eliane) Loring; and many loving uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and kickass friends!

We take this opportunity to express our profound admiration and appreciation for the Lehi first responders, life flight staff, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff that worked so hard and tirelessly to save Ryan’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you donate to your local first responders.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at The Chateau at Le Jardin, 1910 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy.
