Sparks, Hazel, age 97 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1921 in Adams Township, PA, the daughter of the late Sheridan & Tracy Pearl (Corl) Harbaugh.

Mrs. Sparks was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army (WAC) during WWII. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, West Carrollton, Jacob Eby Chapter #571, O.E.S., Moraine Senior Citizens Center, VFW #9927, Kettering, AMVETS #2003, Kettering, Ladies Auxiliary for the Village of Moraine, and an Ohio Poll worker with over 25 years of service.

Preceded in death by her husband Elbert G. (Al) Sparks, 2 sons-in-law Gene Brooks & Michael Petrenio, her grandson Timothy G. Brooks, 4 brothers Ted, Roy, Ralph & Frank Harbaugh and by 2 sisters Nellie Harbaugh & Mary Roberts.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra Brooks (Bill Stuckey) and Wanda Petrenio, her son Larry Sparks and wife Patty, her brother Domer Harbaugh, sister-in-law Janet Harbaugh, 2 brothers-in-law Fred Sparks and wife Hildreth, and Robert Sparks, 5 grandchildren Tammy King and husband Michael, Traci Walker and husband Dave, Toni Filia and husband Justin, Brooke Espinoza and husband Carlos, and Matthew Sparks, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great grandbaby on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
