Dennis Roger Powell, age 74, of Findlay passed away on June 18, 2019 at his home after a 3-year battle due to health issues. Dennis was surrounded by his family. Dennis was born in Los Angeles, California on September 17, 1944 to the late Troy and Ruth (Strait) Powell. He met his wife Martha Schiltz in high school and they were married on September 26, 1964. She survives in Findlay along with their three children: Dennis Jr.(Nicole) Powell, Travis (Jami Breitigam), and Stephanie (Michael) Goebel, all of Findlay. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Brenden (Sammi) Powell, Braxden Powell, Kennedy, Hudson, and Andersen Goebel, all of Findlay; one great-grandchild, Harper Powell of Findlay; and a brother, Tim (Tom) Powell of Findlay. Dennis was proceeded in death by two brothers: David and Dan; and sister, Pat Powell. Dennis graduated from Findlay High School in 1962. He worked 36 years at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. Dennis loved fishing and playing golf. After he became ill, he enjoyed car rides to go and look at the deer at the four-mile square. Dennis was his children's and grandchildren’s biggest fan in all their sports and all they do. The family would like to thank Bridge Home Health and Hospice. Visitation will be held for Dennis from 3:00-7:00pm on Monday, June 24, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay where funeral services will be held at 7:00pm. Pastor Tomas Pistora will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Michael the Archangel Church, Bridge Home Health and Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice in Dennis’ memory.
