MYERS FUNERAL HOME ~ OBITUARY

Jennifer Kennedy Dean, age 65, of Marion, KY passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at her home.

Jennifer was the Executive Director of The Praying Life Foundation and a respected author and speaker. She authored numerous books, studies and magazine articles specializing in prayer and spiritual growth. Her book Heart's Cry, has been named National Day of Prayer's recommended resource. Her book, Live a Praying Life, has been called a flagship work on prayer. She was a wonderful mother to her sons. She was a devoted sister and she was a passionate, enthusiastic, and loving Grandma to her eight grandchildren. Her wisdom, her humor, and her unrelenting love will be missed.

She is survived by her sons, Brantley (Caroline) Dean, Lawrence, KS; Kennedy (Sara) Dean, Leawood, KS; and Stinson (Stephanie) Dean, Independence, MO.; sisters, Pricilla Graham, Marion, KY and Julianne Pederson, Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Campbell, Audrey, Savannah, Roger, Julie, Scarlett, Charlie, and Ruby.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dean (passed away in 2005); parents, Don W. and Audrey Lois Tohtz Kennedy; brother, Roger Quin Kennedy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 AM on June 29th at Marion Baptist Church where she was a member.

A second Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM July 13th in Lawrence, Kansas at Plymouth Congregational Church.
