Joyce Rouchon Herring, 87, of Pensacola, FL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2019. She was born on, June 25, 1931 to her loving parents, Anthony C. Rouchon and Laura Trosclair. Joyce graduated from St. Stephens Catholic School in 1944, and from P.C.H.S. in 1949. She worked for the Southern Bell phone company as an operator. Joyce was a mother of 4 children and a wife to Ernest A. Herring, whom she married June 13, 1959. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Anne’s Parish in Brownsville until it closed, then joined Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL.
Joyce is preceded in death by husband, Ernest A. Herring; and grandson, Joshua Herring.
She is survived by her 4 children, Stephen A. Herring, Laurie M. Herring, Paul A. Herring, and Thomas V. Herring; 8 grandchildren, Brandy Lorch, Leigh-Anna Herring, Sean Herring, Abigail Herring, Katherine Herring, Lucas Herring, Evelyn Herring, Olivia Herring, and Sabrina Herring; 3 great grandchildren, Emily Lorch, Gabriel Herring, and Paige Herring.
A mass will be held at Little Flower on Friday, June 21, 2019, with a visitation beginning at 10:00. Mass will follow at 11:00, then she will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery. Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
