Nola Lee Jones, age 74, of Maysville, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2019, from the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the widow of Allen Michael “Jonesy” Jones, who passed away September 25, 2008. Nora was born December 27, 1944, in Maysville, to the late Nettie Wright and the late Wilbur Durham. She was a homemaker. When she was able, she attended Hickory Ridge Church.
Survivors include her: daughters, Cynthia, and husband, Billy Harper, of Claypool, Indiana, and Teresa, and husband, Ben Germann, of Ripley, Ohio; sisters, Teresa, and husband, Jerry Ellis, of Louisburg, North Carolina, and Retanne Wright, of Conway, South Carolina; brothers, Augustus Wright, of Aberdeen, Michael Wright, of Cincinnati, Roy Wright, of Cincinnati, and Gregory Wright, of Louisburg, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doug and Linda Jones, Sam and Monica Jones, Kenny and Margie Jones, Jenny and Charles Stanton, and Birdie Miller. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Morgan and Cora Durham.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Brell and Son Funeral Home, with Rev Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
