In Massachusetts, Joe was an integral part of E.F. Laurence Candle Company, serving as the office manager and CFO. After moving his family to St Petersburg in 1972, Joe continued to show his entrepreneurial skills building a thriving hair salon and co-founding a souvenir and distribution company.
Joe was active at St Jude Cathedral parish where he was affectionately known as the Silver Fox. Most of his days started there serving morning mass. He also served many years as an usher there, as well as achieving the rank of Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Joe was active at Most Holy Name of Jesus parish where he also served as an usher.
Joe was an avid golfer and loved boating and the water.
Viewing will be at Brett Funeral home on Monday, 6/24 from 6 to 8pm with a prayer service at 7pm. The funeral mass will be at St Jude Cathedral Tuesday, 6/25 at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation on behalf of Joe to Catholic Charities, Suncoast Hospice, or other worthy charity. Brett FH
