PRATT — Evelyn Hillard, 106, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at PRMC in Pratt, Ks. She was born July 15, 1912 in Pratt the daughter of Walter and Nellie (Parks) Dauner. On February 4, 1931, she married Clarence Hillard in Glendale, KS. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1990.

She was the Executive Director with the Cannonball Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross in Pratt for 34 years. She was also involved in the United Way and helped start Meals on Wheels and the Pratt mini bus. Evelyn was a member of the Pratt Pilot Club, Saratoga Community Club, Glendale United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and served as Grand Matron of Order of the Eastern Star in Pratt.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Kay Bright of Valley Center, KS and Jeff Hillard, five great grandchildren, Kyle (Chelcie) Hillard, Katie (Kyle) Nordick, Carrie Bright, Kelli Bright and Kimberly Bright, five great-great grandchildren, Karsyn, Carter and Camdyn Nordick, Medley and Kruze Hillard.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hillard, an infant daughter, Evelyn Jane Hillard, and a son Walter ‘Butch’ Hillard.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary. Burial will follow at Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, KS.
