Sandra Friend Holland, 74, of Magnolia, AR passed away during her favorite time of year, after a bright and sunny day with her husband of 54 years and 9 months and her children at home by her side.
Sandra was born on January 7, 1945 in Magnolia. She was a retired truck driver for North American Van Lines and was a wonderful and loving homemaker. She was always down to earth and enjoyed being outside in the sun working in her yard and tending to her roses. She was kind to people who deserved it but was never a pushover. She valued her independence and made her own decisions until the end. Sandra will be deeply missed by her family and friends. To her, love is more precious than gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Friend, Sr. and Blonnie (Gandy) Friend and her brother JR Friend, Jr.
She is survived by her husband Troy Holland; son Kevin Holland and wife Jill; daughters Shirley Garza and husband Daniel and Blonnie Smith and husband Brad; grandchildren Billie Ann Holland, Dustin Bailey, Alexis Garza, Evie Lee Garza, Aaron Smith and Adam Smith; sister Glenda Rabun; a host of great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Lyndell Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow at the Village Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Monday, June 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
