Mr. David Henry Farmer, age 66 of Roopville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019. He was born June 16, 1953 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late John H. Farmer and the late Bertha L. Smith Farmer. His working career, spanning a period of fifty years, was in automobile repair. He was employed as a Transmissions Specialist Mechanic with Mike’s Transmission Shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Sue (Paul) Wiggins. Survivors include his wife, Connie Head Farmer of Roopville, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Scott) Rogers of Carrollton, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law: John “Butch” (Carol) Farmer, Jay (Virginia) Farmer, and Doyle (Joni) Farmer, all of Carrollton, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bonnie (David) Gentry, also of Carrollton, Georgia, and Joyce (Ray) Holley of Heflin, Alabama; seventeen nieces and nephews; and a numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 21, 2019 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Chaplain Allen Waldrop officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael Farmer, Brad Farmer, Scott Rogers, Mark West, M. J. Farmer and Jimmy Eidson. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roy Richards, Sr. Cancer Center at www.tanner.org. Choose Roy Richards Cancer Center as designation.
