Word was received here Tuesday morning that Mrs. Mary Stanley of Atchison had passed away at her home there. Mrs. Laura Bates has been there for some time taking care of her. Mrs. Stanley fell and broke her hip about a month ago and the physician gave her no hopes of recovery at that time. They will bring the body to Downs and the funeral will probably be Saturday.

Glen Stanley of Atchison......is in Beloit visiting relatives, the G.F. Ingram family. He is on his way from Downs, where his mother, Mrs. Mary Stanley, was buried Friday.
Mary Ellen Ingram was born at Bellefonte, Centre County, PA on June 21, 1842, and died at home in Atchison, KS on October 15, 1923. She was the daughter of Deborah Grant and Isaac D Ingram. As a girl she attended school in Bellefonte, later studying in a young ladie's seminary at Bermingham, PA.
She was married to W A Stanley, a veteran of the Civil war, in 1877 at Philadelphia. In 1889 they came to Atchison with their son Glen. Mary was actively involved in women's G.A.R. groups, holding elected offices. She was survived by her husband, W A Stanley, and son Glen, both of Atchison.
