Joe Sharp, age 86, of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away Sunday 16, 2019, at his home. Joe was born August 16, 1932 in Ash Flat, Arkansas, to the late Clarence and Golda (Haley) Sharp.

Joe and Shirley Annette (Frailey) Sharp were married on June 9, 1953. To this union, 5 children were born. Joe served in the Armed Forces during the Korean War. They were married on his furlough home between basic training and tour of duty in Germany.

Joe was a life-long resident of the area. He worked as a meat-cutter at the local grocery store in his early years. He later was employed by Tripp Gas Company as their serviceman. He and Shirley owned and operated their own business, Sharp Repair Service from 1979-1997. Joe was a deacon at Spring River Baptist Church.

He is survived by four sons; Harold R. Sharp with his wife Julie of Yellville, Arkansas, Elwin L. Sharp with his wife Shirley Jane, Wendell J. Sharp with his wife Brenda, Norman R. Sharp with his wife Beula, one daughter, Regina L. Murphy with her husband Travis, all of Hardy, Arkansas.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, his precious dog, Princess, and special care giver, Jennifer Hamm.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Annette, both of his parents, 2 brothers: Jack Sharp and Charles Ackerman and one baby sister.
