Katie Duncan Witty, 83, passed away Friday, February 18, 1983. She was born in Greenville, Kentucky and lived in Akron, Ohio for 55 years. She was a member of the Hartford, Kentucky D. A. R and was a former member of Oak Hill Garden Club, Garden Forum of Greater Akron, and Akron and Summit County Federation of Women's Clubs.
She was survived by her husband Birdie; daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Hepler, of Chatham, New Jersey; Mrs. Mary Teagle, of Akron, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Mary Nightingale of Champaign, Illinois; brother, John Rowe Duncan of Urbana, Illinois; brother-in-law, Theodore Williams of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
