Service for Tommy Joe Allen, 72, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Rio Vista. Brother Paul Pinyan will officiate. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Hill County.

Tommy Joe Allen passed away June 17, 2019 in Fort Worth after battling lung disease. He was born March 24, 1947 in Johnson County, Texas to Doffas Earl and Betty Inez (Burnett) Allen. He married Carol Adeline Roye on January 2, 1975 in Johnson County. He was retired. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Rio Vista Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife Carol Allen; children, Tammy Jo Pullen of Austin, Justin Allen and wife Gina of Rio Vista, Telesha Dunsworth and husband Kyle of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Sierra, Kylie, Torry, Molly, Beth, Don, Jalisha, Taggard, Shara Jo, and Jennifer; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Hollingsworth, Sara Beth Davis and husband Bobby, Linda Ward and husband Don, Ramona Roye, and Vicki Hopper and husband Bob; and brothers, Luke Allen and Ricky Allen as well as many other family and friends will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty Allen; brothers, Randy Allan and Benny Allen; sister, Cindy Allen; daughter, Tonya Teel; and son, Torry Allen.
