From Sybil Smith:
Annie Whitney Foster Smith, my grandmother, died from a pernicious (sp?) vomiting of a pregnancy. Her husband, Herbert Smith, died three years later in 1918 in the pandemic. They left three young children. In the rear corner of this raised plot is the grave of "Little Joe" Joseph Foster 1880-1884. His name is listed on the larger tombstone but he also has his own little marker.
An angel has replaced this stone on its base and now the reverse side can be read. It lists Joseph Foster 1821-1859 (he died of cirrosis), Lydia his wife 1829-1882 and Damon Foster (their son) 1850-1872.
