Lena Lorene Askew Moore went home to be with her Lord June 17, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. She attended Parkway Church of God with her family. Lorene was born February 23, 1928 to Lewis and Elizabeth Askew of Parrottsville, TN. After marrying Hugh Francis Moore, Lorene began working at Stokely’s Van Camp and was a long time employee, eventually, retiring from Hunts. She loved cooking for those she loved and spent many hours canning every summer. She was a generous and loving woman who never hesitated to give to others in need.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh Moore, her parents Lewis & Elizabeth Askew, her brothers Robin, Charles, Burl, Edd, & George Askew, and sister, Mattie Rhea Askew Barger.
She is survived by her brothers Cecil and Wayne Askew, daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Terry Ottinger, grandson Todd (Deana) Ottinger, granddaughter Shalee (Joe) Nanney and great- grandchildren Olivia and Joey Nanney, and Trevor Smith.
