Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon for Lafayette Long at the Wright funeral home in Nappanee, by the Rev J Oscar Winger, pastor of the church of the Brethren.

The deceased, aged 73, formerly of Nappanee died of heart trouble Friday at 6 pm at the county infirmary after a 5 week illness. He had been at the home for 10 years.

Mr Long was born March 23, 1871, in Nappanee, a son of George and Catherine (Binkley) Long.

He is survived by one brother, Alva Long of South Bend; and 2 sisters, Mrs Moses Grimm of Nappanee and Mrs Della Heckaman of Mishawaka.

Burial was in the Union Center cemetery.
