Robert Eugene Bodenhamer was born May 5, 1932, in Everly to Elza G. and Elma Hopfe Bodenhamer. He was baptized in the Evangelical Church west of Fostoria.

He served his country from 1952-57 in the United States Air Force. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Bob owned and operated four auto parts stores for 22 years, and owned Midstates Builders Inc. in Spencer for 18 years.

Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He fell in love with Chaparral Pines in Payson, Arizona, and their home was his sanctuary. He had a passion for cars and hunting. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his daughters, Agnes Stoll Bodenhamer; his parents; one brother, Wayne Bodenhamer; and his nephew, Doug Bodenhamer.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barb, of Fountain Hills, Arizona; two daughters: Kelly Pedersen of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey and Valerie Silliman and her husband, Todd of Fort Collins, Colorado; four grandchildren: Kailey (Silliman) Lynch and her husband, Jordan, and Cortland Silliman and his wife, Carolyn and their daughter, Josephine — all of Omaha, Nebraska. Sam Pedersen of New Jersey, and Andie Pedersen of Arizona; and one sister, Gloria Lee Peterson of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
