Edward Andrew Pettipas 78 – Linwood Antigonish Co. It is with great sadness that we, the family of Edward Andrew Pettipas, announce his passing, which occurred peacefully on April 18, 2013 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Eddie was the son of the late Lavin and Josephine (LeVangie) Pettipas of Linwood. He was a member of St. Peter’s Parish, Tracadie and a member of the Holy Name Society. Eddie was employed as a Carpenter with Mulgrave Machine Shop and later served as caretaker for St. Peter’s Parish until illness forced his retirement; he enjoyed passing his time solving word search puzzles. Eddie was a devout and loving Father and Husband and enjoyed having his children and grandchildren around him Eddie is survived by his wife Hazel, sons Allan (Debbie), Antigonish; Randy (Val), Tracadie; and Michael (April), Linwood; daughters Cathy (Kevin) DeCoste, East Tracadie; Janice (Gary) DeGruchy, Havre Boucher; grandchildren Joey (Willissa), Bengie (Selena), Matthew, Ashley, Katherine, Hannah, Emily, Daniel, Courtney, Leah, Will, Taylor, Brooke, Maddison and Reagan; brothers Bobby (Gertie), Alex (Diane), Tommy (Betty); sisters Mabel (Gilbert) Fougere, Sally Sampson, Jean (Howard) Sampson and sister in law Marie. He was predeceased by his brother Donnie, sisters Ruth Catherine in infancy and Ruth. Resting in St. Peter’s Place Tracadie, Sunday from 2-9 pm, Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 2:30 pm from St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Tracadie with Rev. Allan MacPhie presiding, burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or Antigonish Town & County Palliative Care Society.
