A lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was born October 6, 1929 to the late Joseph and the late Lura Lunsford Cagle. Joan was a graduate of Canton High School and retired from Champion International where she was an administrative assistant and secretary. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church. Joan's beautiful smile would could easily light up a room and she will always be remembered as a kind and beautiful lady.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Lafayette, Dewitt, Abe, Gentry “Shorty”, and Rick.
Survivors include her brother, Curmitt Cagle of Waynesville; her sister, Belva Cothran of Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
