Mr. Arthur James Hardin was born November 23, 1951 in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Gilbert Hardin Sr., and Mary Marie Stephens Hardin. He attended Booker High School and was a member of the class of 1969. He worked at Morris Brown College and Hamm’s Funeral Home for many years. At an early age, he joined White’s Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1971, he married Ms. Barbara Edge Hardin and to this union, two children were born. Arthur was also the father of three other children. In addition to his parents, four sisters, Dorothy Hardin, Helen Atwater. Stella M. Hardaway, and Linda J. Brown also greeted Arthur, when he went from labor to reward on Wednesday June 24, 2015; he transitioned at Brightmoore Hospice in Griffin, Georgia. Left to continue his legacy of love and cherish his memory are his five children; Stephanie Hardin of Barnesville, Georgia, Vincent Hardin of Washington, D.C. Lorenzo Hardin, Rodney Hardin, both of Roberta, Georgia and Skip Williams of Griffin, Georgia. Seven grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Ann (Robert) Brown of Griffin, Georgia, and Shawn (James) Richardson of Barnesville, Georgia; one brother-n-law Rev. Benjamin Hardaway of Macon, Georgia; Five aunts, Mamie Fambro of Barnesville, Georgia, Lois Fergurson of Riverdale, Georgia, Essie High of Culloden, Georgia, Mary Berry of Williamson, Georgia and Lucille Phillips of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones who also survived.
