MRS BEATRICE NORWOOD DIES
Tallahassee - Mrs. Beatrice Lee-Norwood died Nov 15 at the Florida A&M University Hospital after an extended illness.
She had lived in Tallahassee the past 27 years. She was the daughter of the late president of Florida A&M University, Dr. J. R. E. Lee, Sr., and was employed as assistant manager of Polkinghorne village prior to her illness.
Funeral services were held from Saint Michael and All Angels Church, with the Reverend Father David H Brooks officiating. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Norwood is survived by a son, John R., a daughter, Mrs. Rose N Smith, a sister, Mrs. Birdie Jones, all of Tallahassee; four brothers, Dr. Maurice Lee and George Lee, both of Baltimore, Maryland, Ralph H. Lee, Normal, Ala., and J.R.E. Lee Jr., Tallahassee; four grandchildren, Kathi Robinson, St. Joseph, Mo., Michael Simmons, Logansport, Ind., and Joy and John R Norwood Jr., Tallahassee.
