The Franklin Republican, Friday, 19 August 1904, pg 8
BARGERSVILLE – David Estes, who lived south of Providence with the family of Narel Boaz, while on the road to Indianapolis last Friday afternoon with Ira Deer, was so badly injured while going down the Honey Creek Hill, three miles north of here, that his death resulted. The accident was caused by the single trees dropping, and, as Mr. Estes claimed, he fell from the wagon. The wagon passed over his body injuring his spine. He was taken to the home of Wayne Utterback, where Dr. Carger revived him so much that Mr. Boaz started home with him, but by the time he reached Bargersville he was much worse, and died at the home of Alford Boaz at 7:00 from internal hemorrhage. He had lived with Narel Boaz two years and had many friends here. The body was shipped Sunday morning to his widowed mother in Mt. Salem, Ky. He was nineteen years of age.
