81-year-old Golden Gate resident, Patricia I Chapman, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker and took great pride in her plants and outdoor flowers. She loved crafting and cooking for her family, and was an animal lover.
She was born in St. Louis, MO on February 24, 1938 to George and Willa Hardy. Pat grew up in West Salem, IL. On December 23, 1955 Pat married Robert (Bob) M. Chapman. They were happily married for 63 years.
Surviving are a son, Robert Marshall (Mark) Chapman Jr. of Golden Gate; a daughter, Andrea Chapman of Franklin, IN; one grandson, Keith Chapman; one granddaughter, Melanie Pritchett (Travis) of Bone Gap; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jaxyn, Jadyn and Waylon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents, George and Willa Hardy; brothers George (Bud) Hardy and Rowland Hardy; sisters Wilma Hardy, Frances Smith, Thelma Wolfe, and Shirley Hardy; son Scott Chapman; and daughter Lisa Masterson (Mike).
