Bonnie was a devoted member of Friends in Christ Community Church where she was involved in all aspects of church life, especially Children’s Church. She drove a school bus for 13 years for the Jessamine County School Board.
Family was a precious part of Bonnie’s life, and taking care of all of them spilled over to her mini farm where she enjoyed caring for her goats, chickens, cats and dog.
In addition to her husband Bob, her memory will be cherished by her father William Horstman, her mother Phyllis Jackson, children Donald Carpenter, Johnny Carpenter, and Rachel Carpenter and the light of her life her grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters Charlie Horstman, Debbie Horstman, Janice Jaggers, William “Bill” Jackson, Jr. and step sister Linda Proctor.
A Remembrance Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 18, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Donald Carpenter, Johnny Carpenter, Bubba Brumfield, Tim Brumfield, Tim Paige, and Jonathan McGrann.
