Civil War Confederate Soldier. One of six Confederate prisoners of war who were executed by the Union Army to avenge the death of Major James Wilson and a six man patrol massacred by Confederate guerrillas under the command of Major Timothy Reeves during the Battle of Pilot Knob on October 3, 1864. The other executed Rebel soldiers were H.H. Blackburn, John Nicholds, George Bunch, Asa Ladd, G.W. Mineckin and James Gates.
