Mrs. Merle Marie Anderson Williams, 72, of Coffeeville, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born April 5, 1947 in Calhoun City to Neal and Johnnie Lollar Anderson. She was a retired inspector at Borg-Warner in Water Valley and a member of First Baptist Church – Coffeeville.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery at Big Creek. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her son, Allen Howard “Howie” Williams, Jr.(Wendy) of Coffeeville; two sisters, Shirley Nelson of Big Creek and Doddie Ross of Big Creek; five grandchildren, Jamie Coleman(Shelia), T.K. McCammon, Neal McCammon, Charlee Williams and Jessie Williams; one great-grandchild, Gracie Little; two special nieces, Tammy Beshears(John) and Amber Harris(Chuck); two special nephews, Bubba Nelson(Velvet) and Doug Crutchfield(Susan); and a step-son, John Lawson Bower of Grenada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen “Hoss” Williams; sister, Teresa “Sissie” Dugan; brother, Tom Anderson and a grandchild, Andrew McCammon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada, Mississippi.
