Beverly Burch Harvey, born September 3, 1939 in Jackson Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father William Burch Sr., mother Juanita Burch, husband Hoyle Harvey, brother William Burch Jr. and nephew David Burch.

She is survived by her niece Donna Caffo, great- nephew Nickolaus Nimnicht, and great-niece Christine Nimnicht.

After graduating from Central High School in Jackson, Beverly began a career that spanned more than 25 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone in the accounting department. She retired in her 40s due to degenerative eye disease but continued an active lifestyle mainly through her involvement with her church. She volunteered in the youth ministry and with meal delivery to home bound seniors.

After moving to North Carolina with her husband for several years, they returned to Texas, making Carrollton their home in 1991. For the past 28 years, Beverly has been an active member of First Baptist Church Carrollton, continuing her servant lifestyle in many ways. In her later years, she still carried that servant heart, even when her health no longer allowed her to be as active. Always a smile on her face and kind words on her lips, she lived her faith by her example. When her body no longer allowed her to be on the front line helping others, she began sending birthday cards, get well notes, and words of encouragement to those in her church family that needed them.

Although she never had children of her own, she doted on her niece and great-nephew/niece as if they were own. She never tired of playing with cars, dinosaurs or mardi gras beads many years ago.

In addition to her involvement with her church and family, Beverly loved to travel. She especially loved cruises having been to Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii and around the Caribbean. She even loved going to Las Vegas with her niece for a long weekend of cheap buffets, nickel slot machines and glitzy shows.

Although she will be missed by those she left behind, we can rejoice in knowing that her pain is gone and she is once again whole, no doubt waiting for that next opportunity to serve others in her new Heavenly home.
