Sandy Fuller, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on Friday June 14, 2019 in Bedford, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, friend, volunteer, and avid bridge player to all that knew and loved her. She was born on January 6th, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Herbert and Billie Ruth Seat. Sandy grew up in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas and graduated Sunset High School. She Married Harold Fuller November 1st, 1958. They had 3 children and adopted one child. Sandy spent a lifetime reaching out to others and helping them realize dreams. Sandy and her husband Harold, to whom she was married for over 40 years, moved to Colleyville in 1973, when the population was under 3000 people. Since that time, over forty years she has been a stalwart supporter and promoter of Colleyville-its community spirit, the future of its young people, and its cultural and economic well-being. Using the knowledge gleaned from her early experiences, she has worked diligently to help others grow and realize their dreams in Colleyville and the Metroplex. She is currently a member of Whites Chapel Methodist Church, Colleyville Women’s Club. She served as a board member of the Irving Symphony League and the Helping Hands School for Challenged Children. As a breast cancer survivor, she as dedicated hours in Dallas and Tarrant counties to helping others cope with the diagnosis of cancer and the understanding that the vitality of life and the completion of dreams are still possibilities. During her children’s teenage years in the Grapevine Colleyville ISD, Sandy won awards given by the students, for World’s Greatest Soccer Mom, Homecoming Float Parent (class of 80) and traveling AG Mom, helping to transport, groom, and show livestock throughout Texas. She was instrumental in the formation of the soccer program at Grapevine High School and a tireless worker in the Colleyville Soccer Association. During that time, she was appointed to the Colleyville Parks and Recreation board and served on the GCISD Advisory Council. For 17 years she volunteered on a regular basis at Timberline Elementary working with children in the ESL program K-5. Nominated by the faculty Sandy served on the National Blue Ribbon Award team as the community representative. Sandy is survived by Brother Stan Seat of Kennedale Texas, Son Brian Fuller of Colleyville Texas and Son David Fuller of Emory. She has 5 grandchildren Brandon, Breanna, Kelsie, Jacob, and Clayton. Sandy has 6 great grandchildren Brinley Ray , William Sullivan (Liam), Noey Ruth, Anna Kate, Ty Dodgen, and Liberty Kay (Libby) She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Billie Ruth Seat, Husband Harold Fuller and daughter Laurie Fuller. The visitation will be held from 6 – 8 o’clock p.m. on Monday June 17th, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on June 18 at Whites Chapel United Methodist Church Internment will be at Restland Memorial Park Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grapevine Elks Sweetheart, the sweetheart is the liaison for Texas Elks Children Service providing medical grants to area children and supports a special needs camp.
