Ms. Dolores Nelms Harris, 86, of Glenwood, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born May 24, 1933 to the late Troy and Rebecca Neal Nelms. She was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and Alamo Garden Club. Ms. Harris enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family.

Ms. Harris is survived by four daughters : Beverly (Lon) Tanner of Soperton, Eugenia (Ronnie) Williams of Glenwood, Sandra (Mitch) Willcox of Abbeville, and Deborah Harris Henderson of Eastman; nine grandchildren: Leslie (Josh) Kelly, Lindsey (Dwayne) Bray, Brad (Amy) Williams, Beth (Erik) Gibbs, Celia (Brett) Lee, Daniel (Jessica) Wilcox, Abby Wilcox, Dustin (Kerri) Henderson, and Taylor (Cole) Stewart; twelve great-grandchildren; brother: Wendell Nelms; two sisters-in-law: Patsy Nelms and Markey Harris; and her dog: Toby. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leslie Eugene “Gene” Harris; and son: Donnie Eugene Harris.

Visitation will be held Sunday June 9, 2019 at Towns Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral service for Ms. Harris is 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 10, 2019 at White Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Interment will follow in the White Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
Donations can be made to Serenity Hospice, 1022 Hillcrest Parkway, Suite 200, Dublin, GA 31021 in lieu of flowers.
