Obituary for Stella Clark

Services for Stella Clark, 99, will be Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at the Dallas Christian Church in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Dallas Cemetery following the service. Memorials are requested to the Dallas Christian Church.

Born July 27th 1919, near Red Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Cecil (Kingrey) Schrader. She was raised in the Red Rock and Monroe area. Other places she lived with her husband, Ray Clark Jr., were: Dunreath, Percy, Newton, Illinois, and Melcher-Dallas.

Stella had worked at Maytag for a time when Ray was in the service. And then was a farm wife on a dairy farm for many years and did bookkeeping for Clark Construction. She was active in the Dallas Christian Church and the Ladies Aide.

She attended most of her children and grandchildren's activities, loved playing cards, dancing, and especially enjoyed singing for everyone!

Stella passed away peacefully on June 13, 2019. Preceding her in death were her parents: Leonard and Cecil Schrader; husband, Ray Clark Jr.; and siblings: Howard Schrader, Margaret McReynolds, Ruth (Shives) Loney, Mildred DeMoss, Zelma Beebout, and Harry James Schrader in infancy.

Those left to cherish Stella's memory include her children: Craig (Kathy) Clark, Vickie (Joe) White, Shelia (Lee) Franck, and Judy Seddon(special friend, Terry Robinson); 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings: Evelyn Bachman and Virgil Schrader; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Stella's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Knoxville Area Community Hospital and Knoxville Hospice for the care and love shown to Stella.
