Frances graduated from Henning High School and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul and spent her career teaching.
She married the love of her life Ray Newton on July 30, 1955.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Newton; children, Greg Newton (Elaine), Nancy Peavey (Kerry) and Todd Newton (Linda); grandchildren, Renee Henry (Branden), Tricia Harris (Andy), A.J. Peavey (Kendra) and Amy Peavey and great-grandchildren, Lilly Henry, Jack Henry, Ella Henry, Luke Henry, Trevor Harris, Abigail Harris, Scarlett Harris, Penelope Harris, Bryson Harris and Truman Peavey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Edgington (Pollitt), and her brother, Gordon Edgington.
