A celebration of the life of Bill Everhart, 77-year-old long time Buffalo resident who passed away peacefully in his home in Buffalo on March 10th of this year, will be held at his home at 12 Cloud Peak Road, Northwest of Buffalo on June 24th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends are encouraged to attend and share their memories of Bill. Donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Wyoming Peace Officer’s Association in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. William Henry Everhart was born on August 24th, 1941 in Mason City, Iowa to Henry and Myrtle Everhart. He grew up and went to school in Northwood, Iowa and graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School with the class of 1959. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Hawaii for three years. Following an honorable discharge, Bill took a job with the Northwood Police Department as a patrolman. As his family grew, he later took another police position in Austin, Minnesota where he spent 22 years and retired as a Lieutenant in 1985. Bill was married in 1985 to Paige Wolf and they made their home in Buffalo.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman of every stripe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. During such outings, Bill discovered places like Buffalo, Wy. In 1986, Bill relocated his family in Buffalo and took a job as a police patrolman with the Buffalo Police Department. Paige passed away in July of 2018 and Bill continued living in Buffalo until his death. Bill will be missed by all who knew him, as a man of integrity, honor, and humor.

He is survived by five sons, Kerry Wolf and his wife Jennifer of Buffalo, Kevin Wolf and his wife Linda of Ranchester, Wyoming, Bill Everhart Jr. of Buffalo, Dan Wolf and his wife Tammy of Buffalo and Jim Everhart and his wife Jen of Albert Lea, Minnesota; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Hank and Myrtle, his sister Pat, and his beloved wife Paige.
