Mrs. Martha Jean Patton, age 83, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on September 25, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Patton will be conducted on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. John Coleman officiating.

Mrs. Patton was born December 7, 1929, in Greenfield, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. and Nancy Thelma Horner Cannon. She was a mother and homemaker. Mrs. Patton was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Patton is survived by three children, Jim Patton and wife Pam, George Patton and wife, Rhonda, and Mary Quinn; also by six grandchildren, Eric Patton and wife Aimee, Shawn Patton and wife Toni, Hannah Patton, Lisa Riesterer, Debbie Steiskal and husband Rick, Frank Riesterer; and by great-grandchildren, Jace, Tatum, Willie, Heather, Megan, Damien, Richard, and Hayley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her spouse, George E. Patton.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday before service time. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Martha Jean Patton.
