A native of Kingstree, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Irene Epps Brockinton. She was also preceded in death by a brother. Margaret was a school teacher at several public and private schools throughout the east coast and southern United States. Margaret enjoyed traveling and birding with her husband, William. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Asheville and the proud wife of a United States Navy veteran.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William E. Culver; a son, William E. Culver, Jr. and his wife, Juli, of Louisville, Colorado; a sister, Frances Godwin of Swansboro; a special nephew, Steve Eikenberg and wife, Michelle, of Coppersville, Texas; and several other nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
