Thelma K. Shifflett, 87, of Harrisonburg, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017.

Miss Shifflett was born July 7, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Leonard and Maggie Kyger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Erby Viands; a daughter, Bonnie Gibson; three brothers and one sister.

Thelma enjoyed crocheting, doing search and find word puzzles, visiting Charles Town, W.Va., and spending time with family.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Viands; daughters, Connie Shifflett and husband, Paul, Kathy Landis and husband, Tony, and Denise Warlitner; three sisters, Almeta, Edna and Gurnie; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.
