Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Donald Powell and Scott Higginbotham, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Wayne was born April 19, 1932, in Vinson, OK to Luther and Mary Craven. He married Tommye Troxell on September 3, 1950, in Clovis, NM. Wayne was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a past member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge.
He began working in the grocery business as a stocker and sacker. For twenty-five years Wayne managed Furr's Grocery Store and was a unit director at Albertson's for ten years. He retired from Affiliated Foods.
Above all else, Wayne loved his savior, Jesus Christ and his family, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as much as possible.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Tommye Craven, of Amarillo; three sons, Travis Craven and wife Lindi, of Amarillo, Stanley Craven and wife Melissa, of Cypress, TX, and Stacy Craven, of Amarillo; one daughter, Melanie Craven, of Amarillo; a sister, June Powell, of Ft. Worth, TX; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a children's charity of your choice.
