Pauline Kyle-Norton, 85, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 20, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper and Jerry Klein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Pauline was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Happy to Albert G. and Nora Jane Bills Harvey. She moved with her parents to Amarillo when she was 5 years old, and remained a lifetime resident. Pauline was an accomplished artist, painting everything from beautiful irises to birds of every sort.

Pauline was a former member of the Amarillo Iris Society. Pauline was blessed to be able to travel abroad for many years. She traveled to many beautiful places such as Alaska, London, Paris, the Bahamas and the Panama Canal, as well as traveling across America with her church group. Mrs. Norton was a Montessori and kindergarten teacher at Amarillo Christian School for more than 25 years. She was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. Pauline will be loved and missed by all.

She was preceded in death by a son, Don Kyle in 1972; two husbands, Frank Kyle in 1979, and Raymon Norton in 2000; and her parents.

Survivors include three daughters, Ginger Cartwright and husband Roy of Rule, Becky Wheeler-Plumlee of Amarillo, and Mary McGuire and husband Randy of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Jason Cartwright of New Hampshire, Janan Cartwright of Williamsburg, Va., and Jessica Wheeler, Jennifer Wheeler and Christy Miller, all of Amarillo; four great-granddaughters, Lindsi Davenport, Amanda Davenport, Hannah Cartwright and Natalie Cartwright.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114-7448.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
