The funeral for Steven Wayne Priest, 25, was to be at 4 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel in Amarillo.

Officiating was to be Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor of First Baptist Church of Amarillo. Burial was to be in Llano Cemetery.

Mr. Priest died Sunday suffered in the home of Don R. Scott.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and was employed as clerk for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad.

Mr. Priest, born in Quanah, grew up in Childress and had moved back here from Amarillo about six months ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the American Legion and the Brotherhood of Railway, Airline and Steamship Clerks.

Survivors include the widow, Robin; his parents and two brothers, Johnny and Randy.
