BELL Alice M. Heaven is gaining a special angel, Alice M. Bell, 85 years, of Chapin St. passed away early Friday morning, December 8, 2006, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center. A loving wife, mom and grandma, she positively influenced all who met her. She was especially generous with her time to all the neighbors. Alice was born in Tiffin, February 3, 1921, to Roland and Ellen McDermott. Alice volunteered at OLPH sewing garment for the priests and altar boys. At SS Peter & Paul parish, she was a gym teacher, volunteered at Bingo and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. The family is especially thankful for the care given Alice in the ICU at St. Vincent's and Alice's special guardian angel, Steve. She is the widow of Edward J. Bell who passed away November 2002, after 62 years of marriage. Surviving are her children, Jim (Faye) Bell, Beverly Bell, Donald (Cheri) Bell, Cathy Birr, Eddie (Dessie) Bell and son-in-law, David Birr. There are 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters; her daughter, Terri and son-in-law, Wayne Marckel and great-grand-daughter, Brittany Marckel. She will be missed by her "other" children, Maggie, Noah, Penny and Rascal who she enjoyed giving "food under the table". Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road on Sunday, from 2-8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin in the mortuary Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. Interment Oceola Cemetery.
