YORK NEW SALEM – Paul E. Bortner, 84, of 4036 Palmer Ave., died Tuesday afternoon at Camp Hill Convalescent Home. He was the husband of Florence I. (Bowman) Bortner. The couple observed the 59th anniversary of their wedding Dec. 14.
The service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Zion (Shaffer's) United Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys RD 1. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born in Codorus Township, the son of the late Robert and Cora (Strausbaugh) Bortner.
Mr. Bortner also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Norman Shaffer, 1890 Andrews St., York; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
