Deborah Joy Reichert, age 67 years, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Donald and Doris (Matthews) Smith. She grew up on Lake Oakland, where she enjoyed watersports and felt fortunate even today to have friendships from her childhood. On October 12, 2001 Debi married John D. Reichert, together they spent over 20 years of working, riding motorcycles, camping and enjoying each other's families. Debi retired in 2002 from General Motors Pontiac Truck and Bus, where she was a Specialist in the Human Resources Department.

Surviving family include her husband, John; children, Zach (Amanda) Cardinell, Melissa Felice, Jennifer Smith and Jacklyn Gale; grandchildren, Jordan Gale, Jared Gale, Brandon Smith, Payton Smith, Erin Shabdue, Michael Felice and Tyler and Adrianna York; also surviving is a brother, David Smith, many nieces, dear friends and her special Yorkie companions, Mandy and Pookie.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Vassar. The Rev. Doug Abel officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Fowler Center in Mayville.
