Funeral service for Chester Williams, 75, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2019, at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 655 Jeter Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Reverend Clifford E. Jones will officiate.
Mr. Williams, who passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his home in Auburn, AL, was born June 4, 1943 in Union Springs, Alabama.
There will be no public viewing for Mr. Williams. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include: a devoted wife of 52 years, Emester Williams of Auburn, AL; one sister, Doris (Wade) Goforth of Cheektowaga, NY; three brothers, John (Lillie) Williams of Union Springs, AL, Hugh (Mary Lou) Williams of Chicago, IL and Leroy (Mary) Williams of Buffalo, NY; nine sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
